Introduction
Security officers are the protectors of any Federation starship or starbase. They are one half of the first line of defense against their enemies. And they enforce Starfleet regulations and Federation law amongst its citizens. Together with the UFS Marine Corps, the Security department works tirelessly to ensure the Federation and its allies are safe from harm.
Security officers also discuss matters relating to RL personal security such as different antivirus software, personal defense tools like pepper spray, and home defense systems and techniques.
Security in roleplay is enforcing Starfleet regulations and protecting Starfleet officers, the Federation, its allies, and its dignitaries.. You may remember such famous Security officers in the movies and shows like Worf Rozhenko (Star Trek: TNG and DS9), Pavel Chekov (Star Trek TOS), and Tuvok(Star Trek Voyager). Each officer approached their duties in different ways but were no less efficient in performing than the other.
The difference between Starship and starbase security is Starship Security tends to deal more with the trials going to a location. Whether it is manning the tactical station, escorting an away team, or fending off a boarding party. And they tend to be limited in supply due to not having a regular supply chain for their individual ship. In Starbase Security, you deal more with trials with people coming to them. Whether it is cataloging a cargo hold, escorting a VIP, or checking docking ports.
Office Staff
Branch Commander
Branch Commanders are expected to create branch-specific role play storylines, as well as fun activities, and set a proper atmosphere for their branch. An example of a roleplay would be patrolling the station and academy campus or running drills through the combat house. Fun Activities can include game nights, getting to know you sessions or branch brainstorming on new procedures.
The Branch Commanders are the link between the membership and UFS Command through the Office of the Chief UF Starfleet Operations. They are responsible for performing several administrative tasks for the most optimized running of each Branch and Division within UFS.
Vice Branch Commander
The Vice Branch Commander is responsible for assisting the Branch Commander with the day to day organization and running of the branch. Often a supportive role the Vice Branch Commander will mimic the Branch Commander in their absence and work alongside them to achieve goals and objectives.
