Captain's log, stardate 110417.1622. The Talisman has entered the Caia system in the Dactes sector located at 50.6 LY's rimward of Pinastri IV. The system contains five planets all orbiting a single start. The third planet of the system is M-Class and therefore warrants an investigation. We will enter orbit within the next hour.

Events Summary

On stardate 110417, the USS Talisman-A entered the Caia system situated in the Humsor sector at 50.6 LY's rimward of Pinastri IV. Initial surveys of the planet were done and an away team was sent done. A grouping of ancient ruins were discovered upon arrival and immediate investigation began. The ruins did not match anything in Starfleet records, therefore indicating that the race once inhabiting the planet is unknown. A number of ancient relics and artifacts were discovered in two preserved structures. On of the relics was a small pendant that was radiating an unknown type of energy. The pendant was brought back to the Talisman for further study. Other structures, such as fallen and submerged obelisks were also discovered. The Talisman remained in orbit to continue to study the ruins and learn more about the race that once lived on Caia III.
