Red Squad Application Form

  1. Get a Red Squad Application Form and look it over. In this step you will find and begin to fill out the Red Squad application. Do be sure that you have completed all the requirements necessary and complete the application.
  1. Find a suitable individual to recommend you for Red Squad. You are welcome to ask any for a recommendation, however we strongly advise that you ask someone who is best qualified to make a statement on your academic merit, rather than your friend who just graduated as an Ensign from the Academy.
  1. Hand your application into your Recommending Office. Be sure to inform them that they will be personally turning the application into the CO of Red Squad who will then process the application.
  1. For recommending Officers: Once you receive the application from the Red Squad hopefuls, look it over and if satisfactory, send it along to the CO of Red Squad. Do remember that as their Sponsor their performance also reflects on you, do not make this recommendation in haste, but instead think it out before you send it in. Attach your name to the end of the application. Turn this into the CO of Red Squad who will then process the application.
  1. Hope this has proved helpful for the application process. If you have any questions on procedures feel free to contact: the CO of Red Squad who will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Good luck with your application!

It is important to remember that Officers will NOT give recommendations on meeting the requirements alone.

They will make recommendations because you have stood out, above and beyond, as a shining example to other Cadets and have shown the will and initiative to help others,

particularly other cadets and visitors. As this recommendation may reflect on the Officer involved, they will not be willing to give it lightly.

Please be sure to read the application process handout for instructions on how to complete and have your application processed correctly.

Rejection of application is reconsidered every year (week) upon re-submission (keep this application). Refusal is based solely upon not meeting the requirements.

Entry of false information is automatically subject to rejection, and may result in future application being refused, subject to review.

Membership term lasts for the period of your time as a cadet and if you follow the guidelines you will be welcome to become Red Squad Alumni.

Good Luck, and remember being in Red Squad is not something you should abuse, but instead it is a position you should use to HELP others.

Red Squad Reporting Form

  • Please Grab this form and copy and paste it into a notecard. You will update and turn this form in the Sunday before you graduate.

Red Squad Requirement Checklist

It is STRONGLY recommended that all requirements be done in as early a session as possible rather than waiting until due.

Not only is this a sign of an officer who is ‘active’ rather than ‘reactive’, but it prevents the loss of Red Squad status due to unforeseen problems.

If you intend to keep Red Squad status, be sure not to apply for promotion to the next session (week) until all requirements are met for both your week AND for Red Squad.

Remember that one “period” of Academy time is equal to one in character “year”, and if it takes you two or more Real Life (RL) weeks to finish one “period” of Academy time, it will NOT be a problem for anyone. Real Life (RL) comes first.

Be sure that you take ALL of the courses within your division and add them to your “Additional Classes List)

Remember that a false report is cause for revocation of Red Squad status without option of renewal. Verify all classes and trainings as “Passed” before listing them on this sheet.
