| Zia is the 4th host to the Symbiont Vaniva.
The first host was a female called Loral. She was a musician living on the Trill homeworld with her husband Borain and two children, a boy called Benti and a girl called Laira. Her music was well loved and frequently requested for prestigious events throughout the alpha quadrant. Vaniva's second host was a male called Korren. Korren was a scientist specialising in warp theory. He never married and was killed aged 32 in an accident resulting from one of his experiments. The Symbiont was then quickly transfered into a new host straight out of the initiate programme. This new host was a male called Sabytir, a botonist who would later work on the Botanics project on Kestra Prime. He fathered one child with his wife Kendra, a little boy called Jolandri. Zia was born and raised in the Cambala Province on the Trill Homeworld by her parents Joras and Ketal, now both sadly deceased. However, Zia always wanted to travel and see the galaxy. She decided to join starfleet at an early age but was persuaded by her parents to join the initiate programme and so delayed her off world travels. Eventually Zia was accepted as a host age 22 and was joined with Vaniva. After joining the scientific curiosity that she inherited from Korren and Sabytir spurred on her spirit of exploration. As soon as the joining was complete and she had observed two months of meditation with the Symbiont Guardians Zia hopped on a transport to the UFS base on Pinastri and enrolled in the Academy. Although her previous hosts have different backgrounds in science, Zia decided to pursue a career in medicine. In her spare time she still enjoys Loral's music and plays both the Trill Harp and Terran Piano. | |||||
