Biography
Ro had always been fascinated by the mysteries of the cosmos, but his path to Starfleet was far from direct. Growing up on a remote colony planet, Ro developed a deep desire to explore the stars while gazing at the night sky. However, his family had different plans for him. They wanted him to take over the family business, a small shipping company on his homeworld of Deneva. Reluctantly, Ro spent years working in the family business and eventually becoming a freight hauler for much of his life, suppressing his true passion. As the years passed, his longing to explore the stars only grew stronger. The monotony of the the cargo job became suffocating, and he yearned for something greater. Finally, he mustered the courage to break free from the expectations placed upon him and against his family's wishes, he applied to Starfleet Academy, hoping it was his chance to pursue his dreams. At the Academy, Ro found himself surrounded by cadets much younger than him, some barely out of adolescence. Initially, he felt out of place, grappling with insecurities about his age and lack of formal education. However, a passion for astrophysics fueled his determination to catch up and excel. He embraced the rigorous training, eagerly soaking up knowledge from his professors and immersing himself in simulations in the hope of one day finding a place aboard a starship.
