Biography
Born in Triad City in the Piedmont area of North Carolina on Earth, Chandler was raised in the same town where he was born. He claims that it will most likely be the only place he will ever be truly “at home.” As a child, he looked forward to going to Vulcan and did quite often. However, he never felt that he quite “fit in” with either half of his family, despite the fact that he has numerous relatives on both planets. When his parents finally dissolved their marital union, Chandler remained on Earth with his mother and younger brothers. His father returned to Vulcan, where he has since remarried. Chandler maintains close contact with them both as best he can from the Delta Quadrant. While he and his brothers are not “exceptionally close,” he does stay in regular contact with them. His younger brother is a writer and has moved to a mountain town on Vulcan. Chandler’s youngest brother stayed on Earth where he manages a very successful restaurant in their hometown. As is tradition on Vulcan, Chandler was betrothed early in life to T’Ylle, as arranged by their parents. Chandler released her from the commitment, feeling the two “were not a good match.” He was also once engaged to a Human, Jen Blankley, but she returned to Earth and broke off the engagement after Chandler told her that he was going to enlist in Starfleet in the Delta Quadrant. Chandler remains single. Even though he has no children, he still considers himself at least partly responsible for the children in his life. Chandler has one niece, Breanna, by his youngest brother. The elder of his adopted sisters, Joy, has given him a Human nephew, Aaron. He also has a Human niece, Holly, from his adopted sister Shauna and brother-in-law Eric.

Chandler is on a continuous quest to find his place in the universe and even in UFS itself. One of his main problems is that he has many different interests and tries to combine them as often as possible. Prior to joining Starfleet, he trained for to be a Christian minister and completed a bachelor’s degree in religion, but left the seminary without a degree or ordination. Chandler, however, does participate in religious ceremonies in a support role, teaches about his faith, and counsels those in distress. After leaving the seminary, Chandler served with distinction in the Federation Bureau of Intelligence, including time as one of the youngest agents in both the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) and the Counterterrorism Division (CTD). (All other information on these activities is classified as EYES ONLY.)
