Biography
Deacon was born on a Federation Starbase, with both of his parents working for Starfleet in different capacities. Deacon's father Cyril was an Enlisted Security crewman that helped to patrol the station while his mother, Maricela, was one of the civilian researchers on the base. Since the Starbase was mostly used to refit starships, Deacon became fascinated with what they were and how they worked. He wanted to know the science behind them along with the practical ways they worked. Deacon studied what he could about the ships that wasn't classified information. Most of that included outdated technology that wasn't used in any active ships, or at least the very non-essential systems. Whether it was taking apart the family replicator or trying to get his hands on old ship components removed during a refit, Deacon found himself always working with his hands. That passion and curiosity lead him to focus hard on his school studies. He wanted to learn as much as he could to give him the best opportunity possible in joining Starfleet. He knew exactly where he wanted to be as well. He wanted to by the Chief Engineer aboard a starship. A lofty goal for sure, but one he was sure he would someday meet. Thanks to his studying, Deacon eventually qualified for Starfleet Academy, where he had just enrolled as a cadet and is eager to start his Starfleet Career.
