What is the Marine MOS

MOS stands for Marine Occupational Specialties. It is a mirror of the UF Starfleet Navy Billet system. It is the designation and description of the Marine duties and positions. You many have more then one MOS, just like you may have more the one Billet in the Fleet, but one of certain MOS. For example look at the Science Branch:
All Members of the Science Branch are Science Officers. They might be a certain kind of scientist Physicist for example. They can also hold a certain post, such as Chief Science Officer all three are billet they hold at the same time but are listed as the Chief Science Officer Billet.
All Marines are Riflemen. They might hold a specialized field duty, such as Demolitions Expert. They can also hold a certain post, such as Platoon CO all three are MOS they hold at the same time but are listed as the Platoon CO MOS.
