The ISI attempts to be a complete list of United Federation Starfleet contact of species. Accessing the list below, you can find an alphabetical list of all species (grouped by quadrant), listed with their playability designation (Permitted/Restricted/Forbidden).

Playability Designation

The playability designation is the marker for which species can be used by players as their characters in UFS. There are three basic markers:

Permitted - Species in this category are playable by all members without approval.

Restricted - These species can only be played subject to agreement from the Office of the Chief of UF Starfleet Operations.

Forbidden - Any species listed in this category are banned from being played by any members of UFS.
