Description

The Intelligence Chief, or Chief Intelligence Officer (CIO) of a particular starbase, starbase, or facility is the senior Intelligence Officer on that commander's primary staff. The CIO is responsible for presenting all Intelligence briefings to that command team, as well as submitting all reports of threat activity to the servicing ACE.

Tasks

• STATIONS:Manages information regarding the strategic, tactical, political, social, economic, technological, information of intelligence value collected overtly or covertly, by the station’s personnel or equipment. Advises the commanding officer on the bridge of all threats to the strategic or tactical posture of the station, including astral weather and the effects of astral weather on station and threat equipment and personnel.
• STARSHIPS: Oversees the ship’s internal collection of relevant data on enemy and threat strategic, tactical, political, social, economic, technological, and personal information of intelligence value collected overtly or covertly, by the ship’s personnel or equipment. Advises the commanding officer on the bridge of all threats to the strategic or tactical posture of the ship or neighboring Federation personnel, equipment or allies, including astral weather and the effects of astral weather on ship, ally, and threat equipment and personnel. Reports directly to the starship’s Executive Officer, or First Officer, but prioritizes the organic Intelligence assets and collection strategies as determined by the starship’s Chief Operations Officer.
