The belt takes its name from the ancient Terran astronomer Alexander von Humboldt

The Humboldt belt is the region of the Pinastri Star System located roughly between the orbits of the planets Pinastri VI and Pinastri VII. It is occupied by numerous irregularly shaped bodies called asteroids or minor planets. Half the mass of the belt is contained in four objects, the largest of which, Nimbus has a diameter of more than 400 km.
