Biography
At an early age Eroi's Betazoid abilities were creating issues for her. Seemingly unable to filter or shut off the sounds of other thoughts constantly bombarding her causing intense headaches and emotional outbursts. Her father knowing this condition while uncommon was known well enough that it often resulted in the afflicted becoming insane took a Diplomatic posting with the Federation on Vulcan. While on Vulcan, Eroi underwent years of intense training and meditation to help shut her innate ability off so she could find peace. While her telepathic abilities still remained if she needed them the result would usually end with her becoming overwhelmed and losing consciousness after a short period. With the constant barrage of voices silenced she could focus on her passions while growing up immersed in the Vulcan society. Favoring languages, history, and cultures in her studies she proved adapt even by strict Vulcan standards when it came to picking up new languages. At 19 She informed her parents of her intentions to apply to Starfleet Academy. While in the Academy she again excelled With languages and gravitated toward the science division specializing in Xeno-Cultures and Languages. Her graduation thesis was a intensive study of the cultures recorded in the Delta quadrant relying mostly on data provided by the exploits of U.S.S. Voyager. Upon graduation she applied to UFS in the hopes of getting some hands on experience with the Delta Quadrant races and was accepted into the science division on the U.S.S. Veracruz.
