The Chief of Staff to the CinC is the highest ranking officer in the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and is a senior aide to the Commander-in-Chief.

Due to the nature of this job, the holder of this position has a very demanding yet powerful job.

The Chief of Staff to the CinC provides a buffer between the CinC and the direct reporting team. The Chief of Staff to the CinC works behind the scenes to solve problems, mediate disputes and deals with issues before they buble up to the Commander-in-Chief

Responsibilities

The roles of the Chief of Staff to the CinC are both management and advisory and include

• Selection of key department staff and supervise them
• Structure the various departments
• Supervice the assigned tasks assigned directly by the CiC
• Protect the interests of the CinC
• Manage the flow of information
• Managing the schedule of the CinC
