Advanced Starship Design Bureau, or ASDB for short, is the authority on all UF Starfleet Starship and Station Classes. It researches all submitted Names and Registry numbers requested by Ship/Stations in training to see if they are useable. It researches and updates all information regarding starship and starbase technological information. It also is an advisory post to all members who seek to start their own Ship/Station and want information on classes that might fit them best. ASDB maintains all official records of starship classes and approves custom classes if they are submitted for use as an official UF Starfleet Ship/Station.

The ASDB is under the UF Starfleet Chief of Staff, and the Director of the ASDB reports directly to the UF Starfleet Chief of Staff.
